Samsung S9 Start Up Wizard

The first time you start your Samsung S9, it will run a One Time Startup Wizard. This guide will help you navigate it.

You should not do this procedure if you have not moved your SIM card yet. Rogers phones will auto wipe the phone the first time it starts with a SIM card inserted. So if you set it up, and then move the SIM card from your old S6 to the S9, it will wipe the phone and you will have to redo the setup procedures.

Press Start

Connect to a wifi hub if you wish

Select End User Licence Agreement and Privacy Policy, or All

If you have a non-Cole google account, you can set it up now. Or skip, and set it up later if you wish.

If you skip, press Skip again

Enter your name

Setup what kind of protection you would like to use on your phone.

Press More

Press I AGREE

If you have a Samsung Account, Press Sign in. If not, press the little down indicator under Sign In. You do not have to create a Samsung Account.

Now you can Skip if you want

Yeah Yeah, Skip already

This option will allow you to transfer non-Cole data from your old phone to your new phone. You can do it now if you wish, or you can skip it for now, and I will cover how to do this in step 4. If you do it now, you will want to jump ahead and review 4. Moving Data from Old Phone to New Phone. I will skip this step now as I document it later.

Press Finish. You are done the Setup Wizard! But would you like to setup the Weather App?

You can press the cloud with the plus on it to setup the weather app

Press Agree

Press the return arrow

Now you are really done the Setup Wizard!
